Please Support Our Work
In the past three years, the Vermont visual arts community has been hit hard by Covid-19, and that has included the Vermont Crafts Council.
In July of 2023, the spine of Vermont experienced unprecedented rainfall and flooding of many river communities including the Vermont’s capitol city, Montpelier.
We have supported artists, art centers, and small galleries for 33 years, by bringing their art work to the public through our website and two Open Studio Weekends.
We are a small and streamlined organization, with a part time staff, operating at the grass roots level. We have not had much in the way of reserves to get us through the crisis of the last couple of years. If it were not for donations, and the various loans and grants available through federal relief programs, we would have closed our doors.
During this time, we kept working on our mission and developed a new website, created a technology training series for artists, and created a series of training videos for social media and online marketing.
Please consider making a generous donation this year. We will use it to continue to improve Open Studio Weekend with support for artist participants, so that more people can discover Vermont’s community of small arts businesses and visit them, at no charge, in their studios.
Thank you!
