Martha Fitch – Executive Director
Martha has had a long and varied career in the visual arts, was a founding member of the Artisans Hand in Montpelier and the Vermont Crafts Council, and serves on the Vermont State Craft Center Overview Commission and the Vermont Creative Network. She maintained a business, Talbot Silks for many years during which she created and sold printed and handpainted textiles. She now works with clay producing handbuilt utilitarian vessels. Martha was a public school art teacher for 22 years and remains committed to the importance of visual arts education in public schools and throughout one’s life.
