My sculptures and vessels are a search for beauty with forms that are simple but also sensuous. Hand-built using white stoneware clay, they are burnished, bisqued, and fired in a saggar filled with a variety of combustible materials and chemicals. High heat creates a volatile atmosphere in this container, which leaves striking color that enhances the work and makes them seem otherworldly.
Green Design
I use alternative firing methods and glazing to minimize atmospheric pollution.
