Karen Deets has been working with stained glass for over 45 years. She specializes in nature themes, fantasy and abstracts, including Vermont landscapes, using kiln fired painting and fusing. She creates panels and fused art glass jewelry. Innovation and experimentation prevail.

Deets came to Vermont in 2010 after 3 decades as a NJ gallery owner, preceded by teaching art in a public school. Moving to Vermont fulfilled a lifetime dream of living in its woods and mountains.

Deets’s glass can be found at the Brandon Artists Guild and Epoch Gallery in Manchester.

Deets is on staff at the Community College of Vermont and the Carving Studio and Sculpture Center.
