Jim Jackson

Paintings, Sculpture, Mixed Media

Jim Jackson is a painter and multi-media artist currently experimenting with various forms of sculpture from rotting wood from within our edge-of-forest landscape.

Often paintings seem to be evolving into sculptures and sculptures into paintings. Framing has become an integral part of the composition. Sculptures made from wood, recycled materials and the stems and roots of the invasive honeysuckle bush have evolved to include elements of rot and fungi found in the Green Mountain forest landscape surrounding his home and studio.
