About my artwork………Working in the barn turned studio next to my house in Huntington, I make original block prints and pastel paintings and jewelry reflecting the landscape of Vermont. My designs for the block prints are hand carved from multiple blocks of wood or linoleum. The interlocking color blocks are printed in successive layers onto environmentally friendly Japanese bamboo paper with water-based inks which wash out with soap and water, reducing the need for any solvents. The pastels are landscapes usually drawn outside and are completed inside with an emphasis on color.

Green Design
I mostly print with bamboo paper which is environmentally friendly. It is 70% bamboo, 20% recycled paper. I use Caligo inks which are highly pigmented oil based inks that clean up with soap and water. No solvents needed.
