Workshop for professional and amateur blacksmiths; ongoing exhibits about the historic importance of blacksmiths in Vermont's agricultural and maritime communities.
Featured instructor Brian Anderson will help participants to expand their range of knowledge and skill, whether they produce traditional forms and styles of ironwork (cooking utensils, household tools, or hinges and latches) or use metalworking techniques in new and exciting ways to create decorative and utilitarian objects. Museum visitors will be able to observe the workshop and other presentations, as well as visit the 18th century style forge and the exhibits of the recently opened Blacksmithing Arts Center.
Hours: 10 am - 4 pm
Admission: $30 for participating blacksmiths and metalworkers
(general museum admission for non-participants)
