Tursini Woodturning and Bowl Works
My current work involves making solid-wood bowls from found and locally sourced material. I shape and finish most pieces while the wood is in its fresh green state then carefully control the drying of each bowl until it is stable.Finishing wood in its green state is contrary to conventional methods of woodworking but I enjoy the organic textures and shapes that result. My goal is to incorporate the organic nature of the forest, tree, and wood into the objects I create.Green-turned Wooden Bowls
