Carol Crawford Handweaver
My weaving studio, which sits high on a hill in northwestern Vermont, looks out at the top of Mount Mansfield, Sterling Mountain, the Cold Hollows and on down the range of the Green Mountains to Camel's Hump. I have lived here since 1972, following the rhythms of the seasons, growing vegetables, fruit and flowers, heating with wood, raising sons with my husband.
My interest in landscape and the natural world, has shaped my craft with attention to movement, color, complex and not quite repetitive patterns in the make wearable shawls, scarves, durable rugs, yardage and blankets. I travel to sell my work at art and craft shows and am represented in galleries.
I welcome custom orders and studio visits by appointment.
